STANDARDS OF PRACTICE
The most recent revision of the Standards of Practice was published in 2010. In accordance with best practice, the IACFP Board of Directors sunset these standards in January 2019. They are available upon request by contacting executivedirectoriacfp@gmail.
Those interested in current standards for the delivery of mental health services in correctional agencies and facilities are referred to the National Commission on Correctional Health Care, Standards for Mental Health Services in Correctional Facilities, 2015 and the American Correctional Association Performance-Based Expected Practices for Adult Correctional Institutions, 5th Edition.
